Labware | Crucible Shapes

We fabricate standard and custom crucibles as well as other labware on-demand and with short lead-times. Several material options are available for dense or porous components. The most popular material option is alumina (>99%) in either a hermetically dense structure or a permeable porous structure. Dense and porous versions of stabilized zirconia, SiC, mullite, MgO, and others are also available upon request. |

Dense crucibles are more resistant to creep and can be used reliably at high temperatures (from 1625-1700°C) through several thermal cycles. Porous versions are more resistant to thermal shock and can withstand more thermal cycles before failure; however, we suggest a maximum operating temperature of 1500°C. |
