We fabricate standard and custom crucibles as well as other labware on-demand and with short lead-times. Several material options are available for dense or porous components. The most popular material option is alumina (>99%) in either a hermetically dense structure or a permeable porous structure. Dense and porous versions of stabilized zirconia, SiC, mullite, MgO, and others are also available upon request.

Dense crucibles are more resistant to creep and can be used reliably at high temperatures (from 1625-1700°C) through several thermal cycles. Porous versions are more resistant to thermal shock and can withstand more thermal cycles before failure; however, we suggest a maximum operating temperature of 1500°C.
